Cyber security specialists design, develop and test cybersecurity software applications and systems. They ensure the seamless integration of these systems to protect sensitive and highly classified military information.
These specialists establish and manage comprehensive security policies and procedures, utilising preventive strategies to identify and defend against malicious cyber threats. They work collaboratively with IT departments and intelligence agencies, staying vigilant through ongoing monitoring and implementing effective incident response measures to ensure the resilience of defence systems.
These skill sets are designed to enhance and build upon existing qualifications/licences to provide focused and specific training to further develop your skills, knowledge and expertise in a particular area. They may contribute to the completion of a VET qualification in a related field.

To become a cyber security specialist, you usually need to study a Bachelor or higher in:
Low end – $90,000
High end – $160,000
