Western Australian defence industry firms and peak organisations are invited to apply for Round 3 of the $2.5 million Defence Industry Reskilling and Upskilling Grants program.
This program backs the creation and delivery of new, customised, or existing education and training products that address the defence industry’s evolving workforce needs.
It encourages partnerships between defence industry firms, consortia, and peak bodies, together with Team WA universities— Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and the University of Western Australia— and WA-based registered training organisations.
Funding aims to accelerate the development of training products such as:
- credit-bearing micro-credentials
- accredited short courses; and
- Industry 4.0 skill sets.
These products aim to reskill or upskill both new entrants and experienced workers, strengthening WA’s defence industry capability.
The program is part of a broader $46.5 million investment to grow WA’s skilled workforce for the defence industry.
Expressions of Interest for Round 3 are now open via Tenders WA, with applications closing Friday 27 March 2026.
